Staff of Professorship for Translational Nutrition Biology
ETH Zürich
Anand did his PhD from CSIR-CCMB India where he studied biochemical properties of various Calcium sensor proteins. His later research focused on investigating the role of a Calcium sensor protein, Secretagogin (SCGN), in regulating insulin stability and signalling.
Anand joined TNB in May 2019 and since then his major research interest is to explore the biological utility of futile cycles. Currently, his research work focuses on deciphering the role of 'Futile Lipid Cycle' in regulating core body temperature through non-shivering thermogenesis.
